Process Flow Approvers on Vacation |
We have a Process Flow for requisitions approvals that is based on Accounting Units, Dollar Amounts, and Approval levels. Example: if it is for a certain dollar amount, it goes to the dept. manager for that accounting unit for approval. After that, if it over a certain dollar amount, it goes up the chain to the director of that accounting unit. My question is this: How do other places handle users going on vacation? Read More... |

Catalog Numbers - Dashes &/or Leading Zeros |
Would like some advice on dealing with catalog numbers & avoiding duplication. For example, we had 0277-010-212 set up in Lawson. Requester orders same item but uses 277010212. Buyer does not recognize duplication & vendor will accept either number as the same item. I gave 277010212 its own Lawson number and months later caught the duplication on some reporting. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Read More... |

Certification Education Pay |
Hi, our Execs are reviewing our current Certification, Education and License (CEL) pay and I foresee changes. Based on what I have heard certain job codes in certain departments will be eligible for certain CEL. So, a job code that resides in multiple departments may only be eligible in one department. In addition the only hours that will be eligible will be worked hours so no PTO, Sick, Jury Duty or Bereavement will receive the additional pay. I wanted to throw this situation out there to see how others have configured Lawson or their time and attendance system to correctly pay for CEL. How are you handling this? Read More... |
