I am exploring the possibility of using LP to incorporate the sick leave requirements incorporated by the Maryland Healthy Working Families Act. Essentially, we will be required to accrue sick leave for any employee who works more than 12 hours a week; earning one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Has anyone attempted to implement a sick plan such as this ~ we currently use cycle based accruals but it appears this may be a candidate for hours based accrual... Since we have been on Lawson our Surgery department has not been on a perpetual inventory. Once we inquired Cerner as our ERM system, we purchased the interface which Lawson would send the item file to Cerner and Cerner would send usage back to decrement inventory in Lawson. We have set up a SURG location in IC12 of items that are going to Cerner, this list of items include consignment items, bill only items and supplies which totals to over 3,000 items. We were wondering if any other hospital has gone through a transition like this and could provide some feed back. If you could let us know what went really well or what struggles you ran into, we would greatly appreciate it. We are having trouble reconciling a CB bank account to GL. We have verified that all transactions are present in the bank account, CB and GL.
